  • According to the DCS Monthly Report Facts and Figures (2/9/17), there are 17,936 children in state care. (You can find daily updates by clicking here)
  • According to the latest DCS statistics, the current number of licensed foster homes is 4,943.
  • The latest DCS semi-annual report (April 1, 2016-Sept. 30, 2016) shows 4,623 children in Arizona have case plan goals of adoption. Another 2,894 children have a petition for termination of parental rights.
  • Last fiscal year, DCS reports that 3,663 children finalized their adoption.
  • Last fiscal year, DCS reported 6,422 children were reunited with their parents or primary caretaker.

I appreciate your help in communicating the correct and updated information to the public. The marketing & communications staff will be sharing these statistics on our social media pages. If you haven’t already done so, please “like” our Facebook page and remember to share the content with friends and family. Together, we can grow Christian Family Care’s reach in to the community.

Thank you,
