Dear Staff,
Evidently my email last week was not clear about our move. We are not moving this weekend into the Central Avenue building.
Here is an update on the project:
- Issues delaying our move:
- Elevator needs further renovation – getting bid for 1-2 year and 25-30-year fix. I will have bids next week. Timing to complete varies from one week to 12 weeks.
- Lobby flooring is delayed – we were just submitted temporary solution today that will have the project complete next week and then we will replace the flooring from carpet to vinyl/wood flooring once it arrives.
- Approval from Behavioral Health to move our counseling program – Dan tells me this may take up to two weeks after we get our temporary certificate of occupancy, which we will have by Tuesday.
I am meeting with the management team on Monday to discuss timing and will let you know about a potential move date; and whether we move in stages or all one move. For the time being, thank you for being flexible and patient as we update our technology, continue to scan, and reduce our paper in moving into the new building. Our new servers are now in the new building and we are working from them via remote connection, even though we are not present. Most of the furniture was installed yesterday and today (except desk chairs, and lobby and kitchen area). I will give you a further and hopefully more definitive update next week.
