Foster Care Awareness Month
The number of children entering the Arizona foster care system is decreasing, but The numbers are still staggering. There are thousands of children in the foster care system who need hope and healing that they can only receive through Christ.
- There are more than 15,000 children in the Arizona foster care system.
- 12% of those children are living in group homes.
- 977 children aged out of the foster system last year without a forever family.
- There are nearly 4,900 licensed foster homes in Arizona.
- The need for foster families to take older children and siblings is greater than ever.
