Christian Family Care – TEN:24

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds"Hebrews 10:24

A Note from Mark 9/1/20

September 1, 2020

Dear CFC Staff,
Today we had to implement some very tough decisions that impacted four of our friends here at CFC. I want to give a special tribute to each and ask that we all keep them in our prayers.
Cody Fort – Cody was the ever-cheerful champion of Safe Families. The energetic and beloved host of many of our OneTeam all staff meetings, bringing us joy and laughter. I remember when Cody and Chellsea started at CFC, fell in love, and then married. And of course, most recently his cooking class with Mo. Cody has a heart to see children safe and cared for in Christ-centered homes when their parents need some time and space to take care of major life tasks. He has been a Safe Families champion in the community, and we are grateful for the blood, sweat, and tears he has poured into making the Safe Families ministry possible at CFC. Cody’s energy and enthusiasm are contagious, and he will be missed by us all.
Dallas Henderson – Dallas is to many at CFC a pastor and spiritual mentor. Dallas started as a TFC parent before he joined the recruitment team. During Covid-19, Dallas was instrumental in helping us maintain our foster care orientations online and has done an exceptional job in screening families. Dallas was also very instrumental in guiding the boy’s home for Starfish as a member of Living Streams Church, as well as becoming a mentor to a few of the boys. Dallas cares deeply for at-risk youth and is a caring, loving father to many. His pastoral heart and spiritual mentorship will be missed by us all.
Howard Saccoliti – Howard, our fun and games guy who managed our team events, also managed our volunteers and interns, and managed the dreaded task of facilities. Our internship program grew under Howard’s leadership. He grew our database of enthusiastic volunteers to over 1200. These areas have grown through his persistent work forging relationships with many churches and colleges. He also has been overseeing our beautiful new Phoenix office building, ensuring that it functions right and looks its best while staying under budget. Howard has a winsome personality and is a go-getter. He will be greatly missed by all of us because of his work with volunteers, interns, facilities, events; his big smile and his positive exuberance for this organization impacted us all and made us better.
Val Solomon – Val started as a Home Development Specialist, loving on our potential families and assessing their ability to foster. She later transitioned to serve in the Tucson office as administrative support. She has helped us screen potential foster families, walk them through the intake process and has been so attentive to their questions and needs. She has served the team with admin tasks and has shown love and support to all who walk in the door in the Tucson office.

To keep us moving forward as OneTeam we want to give you an opportunity to ask any further questions or concerns you might have as a result of this information. Certainly, we encourage you talk to your Directors and Supervisors, but if you would like to process your questions with others on the team, we are scheduling a OneTeam TEAMS meeting tomorrow, Wednesday September 2nd at 4:30 pm. Please join Pam and me. This meeting is optional. Click on the link below.
